  • 1 Pound Breakfast Sausage cooked and crumbled
  • 8-10 Pieces Bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 2 Cups Shredded Cheddar & Mozzarella Cheese
  • Cornmeal As needed for dusting the pizza crus
  • Gravy Optional: 1/2 cup for spreading on the crust
  • 1 tablespoon Butter For scrambling eggs
  • 2 tablespoon Milk For scrambling eggs
  • Salt and Pepper To taste
  • Vegetables Optional: 1/2 cup each of chopped onions, bell peppers, or mushrooms

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it’s hot and ready when your pizza goes in.

Prepare the Pizza Crust

  • If using store-bought pizza dough, let it sit at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes to soften. Roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer the dough to a greased baking sheet or pizza pan. Prick the dough with a fork all over to prevent bubbling. Pre-bake the crust for 7-8 minutes, until it starts to turn golden.

Cook the Sausage and Bacon

  • While the crust is pre-baking, cook the sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat, crumbling it into small pieces. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until fully browned, then drain the excess fat and set aside. Cook the bacon in a separate skillet until crispy, around 8-10 minutes. Let it cool, then crumble the bacon.

Scramble the Eggs

  • In a clean skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. In a bowl, whisk together 4 large eggs, 2 tablespoons of milk, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and cook, stirring frequently, until the eggs are softly scrambled, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat.

Assemble the Breakfast Pizza

  • Spread 1/2 cup of gravy (optional) over the pre-baked pizza crust. Evenly distribute the scrambled eggs, cooked sausage, and crumbled bacon over the crust. Top with 2 cups of shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese.

Add Optional Toppings

  • If desired, add vegetables like chopped onions, bell peppers, or mushrooms over the pizza for extra flavor.

Bake the Pizza

  • Return the assembled pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the crust is golden brown.

Broil for Extra Crispiness (Optional)

  • For a crispier topping, switch the oven to broil and bake for 1-2 minutes, keeping a close eye on the pizza to prevent burning.

Cool and Serve

  • Remove the pizza from the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes. Slice and serve hot.

Notes

  • Customization: Feel free to customize the toppings to suit your preferences. You can substitute sausage or bacon with turkey sausage or plant-based meat alternatives for a healthier option.
  • Make it Vegetarian: Skip the sausage and bacon and load up with veggies like spinach, tomatoes, or avocado.
  • Gluten-Free Option: Use a gluten-free pizza crust or make your own with gluten-free flour.
  • Cheese Substitutes: If you're dairy-free, you can substitute regular cheese with a plant-based cheese alternative.
  • Storage: Leftovers can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in a skillet or oven for best results to keep the crust crispy.
  • Gravy: The gravy is optional but adds a delicious savory base. If you don't prefer gravy, you can use a cream cheese spread or skip it altogether.
  • Eggs: Be careful not to overcook the scrambled eggs, as they will continue to cook slightly in the oven. You want them to remain soft.
